Martí Jara, Enrique (1890-1930)

He was a professor of Administrative Law at the universities of Santiago and Salamanca and of Political Law at the one of Seville. He was publicly known by his political militancy at the ranks of the Spanish republican left, occupying the secretary of the Junta Nacional de Alianza Republicana. Son of José Joaquín Martí Arnedo and of Ignacia Jara Teruel, he obtained the degree of doctor in Law from the Universidad de Madrid in 1912. He enjoyed a scholarship in Paris and London granted by the Junta para la Ampliación de Estudios between 1912 and 1914 and he obtained the degree of doctor in Law from the Universidad Central in 1915.
The year after, he was appointed professor of Administrative Law of the Universidad de Salamanca. He was appointed titular professor of the chair of Political Law of the Universidad de Sevilla in 1920. He asked for a leave on personal grounds in 1923, being director of the Escuela Nueva. He asked for the reinstatement to the chair of Administrative Law of the Universidad de Salamanca in 1930.

He was part of the Ateneo de Madrid.
