He was a Spanish professor of Political Law and a Magistrate of the Supreme Court, son of the magistrate Manuel Pablo Gómez López and Adela González. As a professor he was always linked to the University of Valencia, where he met and married María Visitación Alfaro and was also elected Rector in 1931.
His life revolved around three main areas: his activity as professor and academician in Valencia; his brief political participation with the party Derecha Republica Liberal of Niceto Alcalá Zamora and his short career at the Supreme Court, first as a Magistrate and later as President during the period of the Second Republic and the Civil War. His last years would be marked by an exile, which came by personal disgraces.
