History:

Spanish Law professor. He was the son of Bonifacio Fuente Pascual and Polonia Pinillos. In 1839 he was awarded a degree on Theology by the University of Valladolid and a doctorate in 1845. He graduated on jurisprudence in 1850 by the University of Valladolid and, in 1860, he got the doctorate on Civil and Canonical Law at the Universidad Central in Madrid with the thesis: “Elecciones de los obispos en los distintos tiempos y la actual disciplina acerca de la Iglesia de España” [Bishops decisions through time and the current discipline about the Spanish Church].

Theology professor in the Faculties of Valladolid and Seville. He was Secretary of the Faculty of Theology (1857-1865) at the University of Seville. He was professor of Canonical Law since 1876 at the University of Barcelona, where he became professor of canonical law in 1871. Indeed, he was Dean of the Faculty of Law of Barcelona (1877-1881). In 1856 he was appointed professor of Dogmatic Theology at the University of Seville. Due to the reorganization in the studies at the Faculty of law, he was given the chair of Public and Private International Law in 1884.
