History:

Baldomero Díez Lozano was a University Professor and a State archivist-librarian. He got a PhD in Philosophy and Letters from the Central University of Madrid, in 1894, with the Thesis: "Exposición y crítica de Las Enneadas de Plotino".

Since 1894 he was an assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Oviedo. He passed public examination and became a member of the body of Assistant of Archives, Libraries, and Museums since 1898. As an archivist-librarian, he was assigned to the University Library of Oviedo. He was professor of Logic and Knowledge Theory at the University of Murcia in 1914. In this last university, he was also Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters.

In 1905 Baldomero Díez Lozano participated in the Tercentenary of Don Quixote, with the publication of the work: "Compendio de la vida de Cervantes, sus obras y estudio de El Quijote: epítome para uso de las escuelas". Oviedo, 1905.
