Giorgio Agliani was an Italian film producer, director, scriptwriter and editor. He was a member of the Italian Comunist Party and, during the fascist period, he was in jail in Ponza. After the war, in 1946, he became a producer and director of art house films productions like "The sun also rises" (1946), "Tragic Hunt" (1947) and "Attention, Bandits!" (1951). Since 1950, he produced more commercial films such as "Our dancing daughters" (1954), "Teseo contro ol Minotauro" (1961) and "The conqueror of Atlantis" (1965). In 1976 he went back to his origins by producing "L'Agnese va a morire".
