History:

Robert Altman is an American film director, scriptwriter and actor.

During his school years, he began interesting about the recording buisness. Later, he was sent to Wentworth militar academy where he was co-pilot in a B-24 during the Second World War. When he left the military service, he moved to Hollywood with his wife Lavonne Elmer, but he came back to his home town with no success. It was there where he began working as scriptwriter and editor. His success started to grow with movies like "M*A*S*H" (1970) and developed an ascending career with famous movies like: "Buffalo Bill and the indians" and "Nashville". These classics truned him into one of the most originals film directors of the second half of the 20th century. He died at the age of 81 in Los Angeles due to complications with the cancer he had.
