History:

Spanish doctor and writer. He was born and died in Asturias. Married with Asunción Martínez Padro, they were parents of the professor Ignacio de la Concha and of Asunción and Eloy.

He studied medicine at the University of Santiago de Compostela. He worked as a doctor in his native village and in Gijón. He was one of the founders of the provincial Psychiatric Hospital.

Since he was pretty young he started out as a writer and lecturer and he published several press articles.

Another activities he made were:

Deputy during the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera.

One of the founders of the “Ateneo Obrero” of Villaviciosa.

He participated in the Unión Patriótica Nacional (National Patriotic Union).

Honorary member of the Medical College of Asturias.
