History:

Robert Asher was a British film and television director.

He was brother of the photography director Jack Asher. He started his career as director assistant in 1934. He worked with great figures like Anthony Pelissier, Robert Hamer, etc. During the Second World War, he worked in several movies as collaborator. His solo career began with the comedy "Follow a star" (1959) with Norman Wisdom. Other great movies are "Press foro time" (1966), "The intelligence men" (1965) or "The early bird" (1965). He worked in television around 1960 in CCI Entertainment producing series like "The Champions", "The prisoner" and "The avengers".

He died in 1979 at the age of 64.
