History:

Dave O'Brien was an American actor, film director and scriptwriter.

He began his cinematographic career making small roles. He became a familiar personality among the audience during the fourties by working in the famous series of comedy short films of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It was then when he adopted the name David Barclay for some productions. He worked in many Westerns of low budget with another name: Tex O'Brien. Some of his movies are: "Reefer Madness" (1936) and "Queen Of the Yukon" (1940). In 1942, he starred a cinematographic serie: "Captain Midnight". His last performance was in "Kiss me, Kate" (1953).

He died in Santa Catalina island the 8th November 1969 at the age of 57.
