History:

Ford Beebe was an American scriptwriter and film director.

He started in the cinema business as writer around 1916, focusing on advertising. At the same year, he arrived to Hollywood. His first script was "A youth of fortune". He got popularity as low budget film and series director. His first movie was "The shadow of the eagle" (1932). Later on, he made several series like "Flash Gordon's trip to mars" , "The Green Hornet" or "Don Winslow of the Navy". Although he shows a spceial preference for western, he made more than 100 movies like "Monster Night" (1942), which was praised by Alfred Hitchcock.

He died the 26th November 1978 in Lake Elsinore (California) at the age of 90.
