Leon Benson was an American film director and scriptwriter.
Along all his life he worked especially in Spaghetti Western genre making television series. However, he also made movies of other kinds and that were able to impress the audience. Some of his most famous movies/series were: "Sea hunt" (1958-1961), "Bonanza" (1967-1970) and "Flipper's new adventure" (1964).
He died the 27th December 1977 in Los Angeles at the age of 68.
