History:

John Boorman is a British film director.

He began working as journalist at the end of 1950 and filmed a documentary for the BBC. It was then when producer David Deutsch showed interest on him and gave him the chance to film his first movie: "Catch us if you can" (1965). After this one, he filmed two more succesfull movies, "Hell in the Pacific" (1968) and "Deliverance" (1972). Years later, he filmed his three best movies and especially one that stood aout over the others: "Excalibur" (1981). Later on, he filmed "Hope and glory" (1987) and "The tailor of Panama" (2001).
