Viéitez Cantolla, Daniel (1901-?)

Spanish lawyer and telegraphist that exiled in Mexico. He started his studies in the Normal School of Teahcers of San Bernardo, continued studying the higher secondary-education course in the Cardenal Cisneros High School (Madrid) and finished carrying out a Laws degree (1924-1930). He made the Civil Service examination for telegraphist and was sent to Huelva and Barcelona. He joined the Republican Left of Azaña (Spain) and married Luisa Utesa.
After the Spanish Civil War, he entered Saint Cyprien concentration camp in France and went from there to Mexico on board "Ipanema" ship, along with his wife, his children (Luis and Antonio) and his siblings: Luisa, Jose Luis and Carmen.
In Mexico, he worked in De Gaulle Embassy, collaborated in "Excelsión" and "Revista de Revistas" magazines, and joined the club of the "Cuatro Gatos".
