History:

Spanish woman who exiled in Mexico. She was daughter of the Spanish engineer and politician Santiago Alonso Izaguirre, who exiled after the Spanish Civil War. María de la Soledad arrived to Mexico in 1948, according to the Mexican General National Archive (AGN). She participated in the interviews of exiled Spanish between the years 1974 and 1990, that later led to the "Proyecto de Historia Oral de Refugiados españoles en México".
