Spanish teacher that exiled after the Spanish Civil War, daughter of Teresa Canosa and sister of Josefa Roure Canosa, who was a teacher as well. She studied the higher secondary-education course and then Teacher Education in the Normal School of Lleida, as well as her sister. She was an active member of the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSUC) and the Unified Socialist Youth, and also joined several organizations like the International Red Aid. She lived eleven years in the URSS, sent by the PSUC, to work as teacher in the Spanish refugees children colony. She left the URSS in 1957 and went to Mexico, where her sister was working as teacher in Luis Vives High School of Mexico City. Carmen worked as Russian teacher in the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She returned to Spain in 1978.
