Rodríguez Mata, Ramón (1896-1991)

Spanish doctor that exiled in Mexico. He started his professional career by going for a public post in the Military Medical Academy and participating in the North African Campaign as well. He was doctor in the hospitals of Basurto (Bilbao), San Gervasio (Barcelona), Godella (Valencia) and Molinar de Carranza (Santander), and anesthetist in the Central Hospital of Madrid. He also worked as medicine translator and as teacher in the University of the Basque Country and the "Academia Hispano Mexicana". He was an active member of the Republican Left and friend of Indalecio Prieto. After the Spanish Civil War, he first exiled in France and later went to Mexico on board "Sinaia" ship. He was member of the "Ateneo Español" of Mexico.
