Spanish historian that lived in Mexico. She started to study in the "Colegio Madrid" and carried out a History PhD in the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She was member of the National System of Researchers of Mexico and joined the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico (INAH), where she founded the seminar "Inmigrantes en la Historia de México", focused on the study of the foreigners. She specialized in Spanish Republican exile and developed different areas of research like the history of migration, miscegenation and the loss of their original culture. She carried out a study about the "Niños de Morelia", a group of 500 Spanish children that arrived to Mexico in 1937, based on stories gathered from conversations since 1979 until 1981. She took part of the exhibition "El exilio español" in the Museum of Mexico City along with Sergio Raúl Arroyo and Rafael Tovar y de Teresa. She also published different articles, worked in "Historias" magazine and collaborated in several books like "Los niños de Morelia", "El exilio catalán", "Ya aquí terminó todo" and "El aroma del recuerdo".
She participated in the interviews to Spanish exiled people between 1974 and 1990, that later became the "Proyecto Historia Oral de Refugiados españoles en México".
