Spanish writer and politician, exiled in Mexico. He belonged to the Generation of '27. Son of Francisco Domenchina Gomina, civil engineer, and Encarnación Moreu Batlle. He studied High School in Madrid and Education in Escuela Normal of Toledo. Married with the writer Ernestina de Champourcin. He was Secretary of the Chairman of the Ministerial Council, Manuel Azaña, and Director of Information Service of the Propaganda Ministry. After the Civil War, the couple crossed the border and was helped by Azaña. They stayed in Toulouse until the writer got an invitation from the Casa de España in México. They travelled on board of the ship Flandre, arriving at Veracruz on the 15th June, 1939. With them were; the writer¿s mother, Encarnación Moreu Batlle, her sister Mercedes Domenchina and his two nephews, Rodrigo y Encarnación Calderón Domenchina. The writer and his wife moved to the Mexican capital and they started to work, he at Casa de España and she as a translator in different publishing companies. He did not adapt to the refugee life at the hosting country. He died at the Mexican exile in 1959. The couple did not have children.
