History:

Spanish lawyer and poet that was exiled. He was born in Córdumo de Valdeorras (Orense) in 1903. His father was certificated agriculturist, which is why they lived in different cities of Spain. He made his basic studies in Córdumo and later studied in the "Maristas" in Palencia. He finally studied Laws in Valladolid.

He worked as lawyer in el Barco de Valdeorras and joined in 1933 the Galicianist Party. When the Spanish Civil War started, he managed to escape the rebels suppression in July 1936 and went to Oporto, from where he moved to Bordeaux (France) in order to go to Barcelona, already taken by the Republicans, in January 1938. In the same year, he was designated Propaganda Secretary in the Galicianist Party and representative of Galicia in the Galeuzca organization.

He was sent to France by the Communist Party of Galicia when the city of Tarragona was taken. He lived in Bordeaux and Paris, and returned to Barcelona in December 1938. He worked in the Undersecretary of Armament and in the "Servicio de Información Periférico".

When the war was over, he came back to France again and went to Veracruz (Mexico) on board "Ipanema" ship. He got married in 1944. He was delegate of the Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) in Mexico, participated in some Galician publications and was member of the "Saudade" group.

He visited Spain many times and died in Fair Oaks (California).
