Calonge (Girona, España) 1903 - 1991
Spanish accountant and bank clerk that exiled in Mexico. He was an outstanding trade unionist of the banking sector, becoming Director of the "Banca de Cataluña" labor union between 1929 and 1936. He took part in the creation of the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSUC), becoming Secretary-General in 1936. After the Spanish Civil War, he exiled in France and was sent to several concentration camps. He went to Mexico from France and settled there between 1939 and 1964. During the exile, he developed an important political activity within the Catalan community and opened an accountancy office. He returned to Spain during the sixties and retired in 1970.
