Spanish doctor that exiled in Mexico. Daughter of soldier Francisco Maestre Jabrín (Major) and Pascuala Martí Sorribes. She graduated in Medicine in the University of Valencia in 1920. In 1930, she made a PhD of Pediatrics in the "Universidad Central de Madrid". She participated in the "Federación Universitaria Escolar" (FUE) and was member of the General Union of Workers (UGT), collaborating in the Asturian miners' strike of 1934, which is why she was arrested. She was also President of the League for Sexual Reform.
During the Spanish Civil War, she worked as doctor and was in charge of the "Asistencia Sanitaria" in Valencia, where she achieved the rank of Captain of the "Servicio de Transfusión Sanguínea del Ejército".
When the war was over, she went to France and entered Saint Etienne concentration camp. In 1942, she went to Veracruz (Mexico) on board "Nyassa" ship. Once there, she developed his pediatrician career and was assistant of the "Casa Regional Valenciana", the "Centro Asturiano" and the Club Mundet. She joined the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party in Mexico and went back to Spain when the democracy was already established.
