History:

Spanish theater writer, exiled. She was born in Barcelona (Spain), in 1916. She studied Law at the University of Barcelona (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and, in 1935, she obtained the award of the Theatre Competition at university, with her play “Judith”, written in Catalonian. Back then she was single and 23 years old. She began to be a part of the Mexican theatre movement since 1944; her plays were performed in several theatres of Mexico City. In 1954, she won the Juan Ruíz de Alarcón Prize, of Theatre Critics. She married the Mexican painter José Reyes Meza. She died in Mexico City in 1957.
