Spanish midwife, exiled. She was born in Barcelona, in 1916. She arrived at Mexico in May, 1940. She was married and 24 years old.

In her exile she abandoned her profession and dedicated herself to education instead, taking charge of the preschool group at the Academia Hispano-Mexicana, where she will be known among the students as “Miss Mercedes”. During her teaching years, she would write books and tales for them all. This tales were gathered in a short story and published in the eighties, under the title "Cuentos de la Miss". In 1992, she published an adventure story, "Las Fuentes del Orinoco".

Her last known residence was Mexico D.F.
