History:

Exiled Spanish dressmaker. Born in Madrid, Spain, in 1913. Daughter of Juan Almelá Meliá, publicist typist and writer, and therefore, "grandson" of Pablo Iglesias, and Cristina Petra Soler Rodríguez. Her siblings were: Pablo, Santiago, Ángel and Juan Almela Soler.

After the Spanish Civil War, she went into exile to Mexico, arriving in Veracruz, aboard the Sinaia in June 1939, along with her mother and siblings. When she arrived in Mexico she was 26 years old and unmarried. Her last known residence is Mexico City.
