History:

Spanish provincial deputy for Cuenca. Rafael Álvarez-Mendizábal y Alfaro and Salomé Cañabete Peña's son. His sisters were Teresa, Josefa and Beatriz, and his grandfather was the Minister Mendizábal. Álvarez-Mendizábal got married with Mariana Bonilla Franco, and had three children: Rafael (1889-1940), Juan (1890-1916) and José María (1891-1965) Álvarez-Mendizábal Bonilla. He studied at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Central University of Madrid.
