History:

Carlos Borcosque was a Chilean film director and scriptwriter.

Due to his mother's work, he moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was a lover of photography and aviation, something that led him to become the first aerial photographer of the country. His artistic career started in Chile, continued in Hollywood and, years later, he went back to Buenos Aires, where he finished his cinematographic career. He founded the Chilean cinema magazine "Ecran", and was one of the founding fathers of the Directores Argentinos Cinematográficos in 1958. Among his movies are: "Hombres de esta tierra" (1922), "...Y mañana serán hombres" (1939), "La juventud manda" (1943), "Cuando en el cielo pasen lista" (1945), "Éramos seis" (1945), "Corazón" (1947) and "Voy a hablar de la esperanza" (1966).
