History:

Eduard von Borsody was a film director and scriptwriter from Vienna that worked for Sascha Film and the UFA. He also made many movies during Second World War that focused on showing the good side of life. "Request Concert" (Wunschkonzert, 1940) became one of the most successful movies in the Nazi period. When the war was over, Borsody could continue with his work as film director and scriptwriter in movies like "Puppy love" (Jugendliebe or Überläufer, 1950), "Dany, Please Write!" (Dany, bitte schreiben Sie, 1956) and "Skandal um Dodo" (1958), in which apeared the first colored actress after the Nazi period.

Eduard von Borsody was brother of Julius von Borsody, who was also film director and first film architect, and father of actor Hans von Borsody.
