History:

Clarence Brown was an American film director and producer. He started in cinema business along with French film director Maurice Tourneur. When cinema changed from silent films to talking films, so did his success. He was several times nominated to the Oscars but never won. Among his most famous movies are: "Anna Karenina" (1935), "National Velvet" (1944) and "Intruder in the Dust" (1949).
