History:

W. Lee Wilder was an American of Austrian origin scriptwriter, film director and producer, brother of famous film director Billy Wilder. Wilder founded his own production company and produced his first movie, "The great Flamarion" (1945). The next year, he directed his first movie, "The glass alibi" (1946). He also made during this period many musical short films. He created in 1950 another company, Planet Filmplays, in order to make low-cost science-fiction movies, in which participated his son Miles Wilder as co-scriptwriter.
