History:

Film director, film producer, scriptwriter and film actor from USA.

Welles lived quite a hard childhood as his parents were separated and both died before he was 13. Thanks to his mother he learnt how to play the piano, and thanks to his father he knew many famous actors and actresses of the time. After becoming orphan he became the ward of Dr. Maurice Bernstein, who enrolled Welles in the Todd School in Woodstock, Illinois.

Orson Welles began his career as a stage actor. However, soon his talent came up with his innovative narrative techniques and use of photography, dramatic lighting, and music to further the dramatic line and to create mood.

One of his best creations is Citizen Kane (1941), (which he wrote, directed, produced, and acted in) a film considered one of the most-influential films in the history of the art.
