History:

José Antonio Arizabalo Orobio (1784-1834). He was soldier, Lieutenant of artillery and participating in the War of Independence of Venezuela. In 1809, he fought in Santo Domingo to battle against the French. In 1813, he left to Santo Domingo for the endowment of artillery in Caracas. In 1814, he fought in Puerto Cabello, in 1816 in Pampatar and between 1821 and 1822 at the second site of Puerto Cabello. By the end of 1822, he also fought in the campaign of Maracaibo. In 1823, he was appointed Commander of artillery and destined to the defense of the Castle of San Carlos de la Barra de la Laguna. Finally, he was installed in Venezuela with the latest realist troops between 1827 and 1829. In 1834, he received the Cross of Commander of the American Real Order of Isabel the Catholic because of his campaigns of Venezuela in 1827-1829.
