Marie-Thérèse Charlotte of France (Palace of Versailles, December 19, 1778 ? Vienna, October 19, 1851). She was the spouse of his cousin Louis Antoine, Duke of Angoulême (1775-1844), daughter of the King of France Louis XVI (1754-1793) and Marie Antoinette (1755-1793). She was imprisoned in the Temple (August 1792) and separated from his mother the following year. She was considered as the only person of the French Royal family that survived the Revolution. On December 19, 1791, she was exchanged by a deputy that Charles François Dumouriez (1739-1823) had handed over to the Austrians. Then she could go to Vienna. There she met the King of France Louis XVIII (1755-1824), whom she always showed her greater acceptance and loyalty. Then, she married the Duke of Angoulême (June 10, 1799). On May 4, 1814 she entered with Louis XVIII in Paris. With the return of Napoleon, she was in Bordeaux and tried that the population of that town remained loyal to the monarchy. For a hundred days, she lived in England, and after the second restoration, she maintained the realist doctrines. At the time of the Revolution of June, she emigrated for the third time to England and later she lived in Görz (Austria). Finally, she retired to her possessions in Frohsdorf (Austria) with her nephew the Count of Chambord, who was in charge of his education.
