History:

He was politician during Ferdinand VII and Isabella II kingdoms. He was commonly known by his title of Count of Ofalia. He was secretary in the Spanish embassy in the USA and was later at the service of Joseph Bonaparte. Afterwards, he was Minister of Justice with Ferdinand VII (1823-1824) and State secretary (1824). He also was plenipotentiary minister in London since 1827 to 1832 and, later on, was Minister of Public Works and President of the Council of Ministers.
