Viscount of Acosta and first Count of Montealegre de la Rivera. He was born in Santiago de Chile and was knight of Santiago in 1797 and Order of Charles III in 1830. He was Treasurer of the Principality and the army of Catalonia during the Peninsular War. He was also ambassador in Saxony, Vienna, Naples and Portugal during the kingdom of Ferdinand VII. The Portuguese king Manuel I granted him the title of Count of Monforte.
