Joaquín González de la Pezuela Griñán y Sánchez Muñoz de Velasco (Naval, Huesca, 1761 ? Madrid, 1830). He was a Spanish soldier, First Marquis of Viluma and Viceroy of Peru (1816-1821). In 1775, he joined the College of Artillery, attending the site of Gibraltar, to the war against the French Republic in Guipúzcoa, 1793-1794. In 1805, he passed to Peru; in 1813, under the command of the forces of the Upper Peru defeated Manuel Belgrano (1770-1820) in Vilcapugio and Ayohuma, but he was beaten by Juan Antonio Álvarez de Arenales (1770-1831) in Florida (1814). Thanks to the victory that obtained on Rondeau in Sipe-Sipe or Viluma in 1815, he was awarded with the title of Marquis and the position of Viceroy (1816) replacing José Fernando de Abascal y Sousa (1743-1821). In 1819, he returned to Spain after being attacked by the squadron of Admiral Cochanare. Two years later, he was relieved of the position of Viceroyalty, being replaced by José de la Serna (1770-1832). In 1825, he was appointed Captain General of New Castile.
