History:

He was born in Valdemorillo on the 23rd of July 1905. He was the result of the extramarital relationship between the typograph and journalist Juan Almela Melià and Gregoria González, from Valdemorillo (Madrid). She helped her mother, Amparo Melià Monroig, the socialist leader Pablo Iglesias' workmate, with the housework. He was a bus driver and collector in the bus company Automnibus Interurbanos (AISA) at the neighbourhood of "Delicias" (Madrid). He belonged to the "Cuerpo de Carabineros de Infantería"* from May 1938 to the end of the Civil War. He worked in a petrol station (pumping the fuel) and as a guard and bodyguard at the detachment in Miraflores de la Sierra (Madrid). After the war, he worked as a taxi driver. He died in Valdemorillo on the 18th of April 1989.

*Spanish armed body whose objective was the surveillance of coasts and borders.
