History:

Spanish housewife that exiled due to the Spanish Civil War. She was member of one of the mos popular families of intellectuals from the Canary islands, the Millares. Niece of novelist and notary Agustín Millares Cubas and cousin of paleographer Agustín and poet Juan Millares Carló. She arrived by plane as refugee to Mexico City in December 1947, where she reunited with her son and daughter Bernardo and Lucrecia de la Torre Champsaur, who had already settled in Mexico. Her last known residence was Mexico City. She died in 1967. There is not more information about her life.
