William F. Claxton was an American editor, scriptwriter, film director and producer. Claxton began his career in the world of cinema as an editor and kept making films as a director and scriptwriter making several works for television. By the end of his career he made two film productions and three television series. Among his most notable titles we can find: "Little House on the Prairie" (1974), "Bonanza" (1959) and "The High Chaparral" (1967).
