William Conrad was an American actor, director and film producer. He started working as a radio announcer by the end of the thirties. He saw his career interrupted during the Second World War, in which he had to participate as an army’s pilot. When he could go back, he continued working at the radio as an actor, known by his deep voice. He also worked at the cinema industry together with Burt Lancaster and Ava Gardner or Charlton Heston. But where his career was most developed was in television, participating in series as actor and narrator, and also as director and producer. Among his most outstanding titles are: “The Killers” (1946), “Body and Soul” (1947), “The Naked Jungle” (1954), “Cannon” (1971) and “Nero Wolfe” (1981).
