Lewis D. Collins was an American scriptwriter and film director. He began to work in the world of cinema during the silent era and then in sound films too. He made a large number of films, more than a hundred, and his favourite genre was the B-Western. Great actors, such as John Wayne, participated in his films. Among his most popular titles are: “The Desert Trail” (1935), “The Adventures of Smilin' Jack” (1943), “The Great Alaskan Mystery” (1944) and “The Master Key” (1945).
