History:

Fielder Cook was an American scriptwriter, television producer and director. Cook studied Literature at the Washington and Lee University and later he specialized on Elizabethan Drama at the University of Birmingham, in England. When he came back he started to work at television, where he developed his career. His first work as a television director was “The Lux Video Theatre”. He kept making films and chapters of series television. Cook was nominated to the Emmy Awards nine times, seven as a director and two as a producer, of which he won three: two as a director and one as a producer. Among his most notable titles are: “Patterns” (1956), “The Waltons” (1971) and “Seize the Day” (1986).
