He was a Hungarian actor and a photograph later naturalized as an American citizen. He studied at the Sorbonne and he spent ten years in Paris working as a photographer. There is evidence of his membership to the register of photographers of the Defense Committee of Madrid during the Spanish Civil War. In 1937, he worked as a graphic reporter for a magazine in Paris and he was a member of the "Instituto Hispano-Canadiense de Transfusión de Sangre". In 1940, she moved to the United States where he started a long career as a film and television actor, mostly playing secondary roles. Between 1951 and 1965, he worked exclusively in television because he was blacklisted for refusing to cooperate with House Un-American Activities Committee.
