She was a Spanish librarian. She studied Philosophy and Literature and, in 1932, she joined the Corps of Archivists, Librarians and Archeologists. She was destined to the Public Library of Palencia. Afterwards, she was assigned to Jaen and, in 1939, to Canary Islands, where she became Chief of the ¿Archivo de la Delegación de Hacienda en Las Palmas¿

. Since she was affiliated with the CNT (National Confederation of Labour), she was purged at the end of the Civil War. She was the sister of José Lino Vaamonde Valencia who was an architect.
