History:

US actor, scriptwriter, and film director. He debuted as a director with "The Mouthpiece" (1932), and in 1933 directed "if I Were Free". In the 40s he was mainly focused on directing comedies. In 1952 he directed his last film, "Just for You". Likewise, throughout his life he acted in several plays, such as "Dulcy" (1921), and directed others, such as "The Male Animal" (1940). Some of his works as director include "Two Alone" (1934), "Enter Madame" (1935), and "Up in Arms" (1944).
