History:

US film director born in the Austro‑Hungarian Empire. He studied in Paris in 1930, after which he traveled to the United States. During the Second World War he entered the army and aftehr that he decided to direct training films for the United States Department of State, in West Berlin. Some of his works as director include "The Curse of the Cat People" (1944), "Stolen Identity" (1953), and "Snow Bear" (1970).
