Spanish jurist and politician. He was married to María Josefa Recacho with whom he had three children.
He studied Logic, Moral Philosophy and Law. He was the corregidor Lieutenant of Guadalajara, and later, he was deployed in Mallorca. In the Peninsular War he was named as Minister of State and political leader of Valencia. He had a good relationship with Bertrán de Lis' family, and he tried to eliminate the elements of José Bonaparte's government that stayed in the Spanish Administration. He was discharged because of the orders of May 1814. After the swearing in of Ferdinand VII's Constitution, a Junta Provisional de Gobierno was created, of which he was a member. He received the honours and the treatment of State Councillor. He was named as Minister of the Government of the Peninsula in 1821, but he was sick, so Ramón Feliú took his position. Furthermore, he was the president of the Royal Economic Society of Friends of the Country of Valencia (Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País de Valencia).
