History:

Spanish lawyer and Minister. He studied Philosphy in the conciliar seminary of Sigüenza, and Law at Alcalá de Henares. Magistrate of the audiencia of the former Castilla la Mancha (1822), and government representative for Aragón in the Cortes. He was also a lawyer in the open trial of the death of the priest of Tamajón. At the end of the Trienio Liberal (Liberal Triennium), he exiled himself for eleven years and was convicted to die "al garrote" (1826) due to the fact that he voted for the impeachment of Ferdinand VII. Afther the death of the King, he could return to Spain and continued his career as a lawyer. Government representative and Senator for different legislatures (1836-1838) and momentary Minister of Grace and Justice at the government of Eusebio Bardají, because he quickly renounced in favor of Pablo Mata Vigil.

Moreover, he was political chief in Valencia, academic at the Royal Academy of History and, until his retirement, he held different positions in the Supreme Court. He took part in the court that decided to return to Godoy his assets (2 December 1848). Furthermore, he was granted with the Knight Grand Cross of the Royal and American Order of Isabella the Catholic. Castejón passed away at his home town on 9 October 1858.
