Spanish soldier and statesman. 2nd Marquis of Vallgornera, Marquis of Torremejía. He belonged to a wealthy and noble family originally from Vallgornera (Girona). He was the elder son of Felipe Baldrich Vallgornera, lordman and baron of the Rourell castle, and of María Ana de Veciana, reducing his close relationships to those of high social status. In 1827, he married the daughter of the marquises of Torremejía, Ramona Osorio Leiba. Once he was widowed in 1838, two years later he got married again, this time to the daughter of the Count of Mejorada, widow of the lieutenant Luis Fernández de Córdoba y Pimentel, Concepción Ortiz Sandoval Arias de Saavedra.

At the outbroke of the Peninsular War, he joined the Army as a Second Lieutenant of the first tercio of volunteers of Tarragona, and later on, to the Real Cuerpo de Ingenieros del Ejército de Cataluña (Royal Corp of Engineers of the Army of Cataluña). He was soon imprisoned and taken to France until the end of the war. Among his positions, he was a substitute government representative for Catalonia in the Cortes, soldier at the Spanish Embassy of Paris, General Director of the Military College of Alcalá de Henares, deputy at the Cortes for Tarragona, government representative at the Cortes for Barcelona, contributor of the magazine Revista de Madrid, Minister of the Government, member of the Royal Court, senator for Gerona, and so on.

Moreover, in 1848, he was a royal adviser and in 1852 he became a vocal of the Supreme Assembly of the Royal Order of Isabella I of Castile in the Gran Cruz (Grand Gross), and Knight of the Royal and Military Order of San Hermenegildo and of the Order of Charles III.

He passed away in Madrid on 26 September 1864. Due to the fact that he hadn't had children, all his belongings were given to his niece María Antonia Rubinat Baldrich, except the titles of the Vallgornera, which was given to his widow María Concepción Ortiz Sandoval, who also received maintenance of fifteen thousand reales.
