History:

Bishop of Oaxaca. Son of Lorenzo Morales and María Josefa Jazo. PhD in Philosophy by the University of Mexico, he worked in the parish of San Luis de Potosí and Zamora. He was trusted with the bishopric of Sonora in 1832, although he had to resign after suffering from a stroke. Bishop of Oaxaca since 1842, he was deputy in Cortes twice, and he also participated in the Mexican political life through the House of Representatives.
