History:

Violinist and music distributor who spent his career in England.

Organ wrote to Manuel de Falla from Birmingham on 3 October 1921. His goal was to expand his catalogue of chamber music with works like "Mobilis in mobili" by Juan Manén, and other Spanish composers like Enrique Granados, Isaac Albéniz, Felipe Pedrell, Óscar Esplá and Adolfo Salazar. In the letter, he also explained Falla that he had already acquired his piano compositions and Joaquín Turina's "Escena andaluza" (1911) and "Cuarteto No. 1 en Re menor: De la Guitarra" (1910) and "Quinteto en Sol menor" (1907). He contacted Unión Musical Español (UME) for the same purpose, without success.

He was secretary of the Birmingham Chamber Music Club, founded in 1934 by Walter Wilson Cobbett, with the goal of popularising chamber music in the city. As a violinist, he gave a concert at the City Studio of Wilfred Ridgeway on 29 October 1938. He wrote short articles about the English music scene in "The Musical Times"; the same magazine published his "Women in Music" (1952), a brief review of Sophie Drinker's book about Iris Lemare and the place of women in music. He was the owner of Edward Wm. Organ Limited, a company which closed on 2 October 1962.
